The 2018 James Beard Awards
What an honor for Kitchen Chat to once again be on the Red Carpet at the James Beard Awards to capture the excitement and stories of the nominees and participants. Thank you Chef Jaime Laurita, brand ambassador for Viking, for being my co-host.
Highlights of the evening included meeting two icons: Chef Jose Andres, recipient of Humanitarian of the Year Award and Paula Wolfert, recipient of JBF’s Lifetime Achievement Award
As always it was great to see my dear friend, Chef Carla Hall on the Red Carpet. She did an amazing job as emcee for the awards ceremony.
Chef Fabio Viviani always brings his charm and his amazing business acumen wherever he goes. He shares about his most recent entry into the tech arena.
I was beyond thrilled that my hometown hero, Chef Frank Stitt at long last won the category of Outstanding Restaurant for Highlands Bar and Grill. Here is our kitchen chat from last year. On a side note, I had my first martini at Highlands Bar and Grill many decades ago.
