National Coffee Day

Did you celebrate National Coffee Day? I actually did — Twice!
Of course I had to enjoy coffee clinks with friends at Eataly Chicago with a delicious Lavazza. Then, I sipped iced Vietnamese Coffee at Pasteur.
Personally, I think every day should be National Coffee Day! So with that in mind, here are some delicious recipes compliments of Lavazza. Savor the day!
For your morning:
Caffe Mocha
Ingredients:
2 ½ oz. Lavazza espresso
2 ½ oz. milk
1/8 cup hot chocolate
Scoop of sugar (as desired)
Directions:
Heat up milk and pour into a glass.
Heat up the hot chocolate, froth, and add to the milk.
Pour espresso slowly into the glass and sweeten as you like.
For an afternoon pick-me-up:
Lavazza Iced Latte
Ingredients:
1 double shot of Lavazza espresso
*If espresso machine is not available, can be brewed in moka pot or similar
6oz. skim milk
Chocolate powder or flakes
4-5 ice cubes
Directions:
Fill a glass half-way with ice cubes and pour milk in.
Then add espresso directly on top.
Garnish with chocolate powder or flakes.
For a sweet night-cap:
Espresso Martini
Ingredients:
4-5 ice cubes
1/2 oz. of simple syrup or 2 sugar packets
2 pumps of flavored syrup (optional)
1 oz of vodka
Long espresso
Directions:
Place all ingredients in martini shaker, close and shake well. Strain the contents into a martini or chilled rocks glass.
