Barbara Lazaroff and Awards Season
It’s time for the Oscars! And Barbara Lazaroff will help you plan a perfect Oscars party at home! Barbara Lazaroff is the co-founder of Wolfgang Puck Food Company (now Wolfgang Puck Worldwide, Inc.). She also co-authored Wishes for a Mother’s Heart with Tricia LaVoice (who introduced us). Barbara Lazaroff has hosted many of the star studded Hollywood parties at Spago Beverly Hills for years and years. In addition, Barbara has a huge heart for charity. In fact the proceeds from her beautiful Flame of Life porcelain dinnerware go to Meals On Wheels and other charities. Many of the recipes I am preparing and pairing with the Oscar nominated films this week are being presented on Barbara’s Flame of Life. Here’s a sneak peek:
This kitchen chat with Barbara was recorded in 2014, right before I did my very first social media coverage during Awards season. Since I will be traveling to LA this week for Oscars Week to tweet with Vanity Fair Social Club, I thought this kitchen chat would be a perfect way to celebrate. In addition to really fun party tips, Barbara shares some great inside peeks into the Oscars parties including The Governors Ball!
Barbara Lazaroff is truly an accomplished businesswoman, designer, restaurateur, philanthropist, and it is my heartfelt honor to call her a friend. Here’s to many more delicious celebrations! Enjoy the Oscars! And please join the fun and follow #VFSC and @mcsweeney.
